Cross-company mentoring

Cross-company mentoring offers diversity managers the opportunity to create a protected space in which exploring, trial and error, learning and open exchange about internal company challenges are explicitly desired. A successful example of this is the joint project of Employers for Equality and Volunteer Vision.

the CHALLENGE

How does talent development work with cross-company mentoring?
Employers for Equality supports companies on their way to more equality and diversity. In addition, they offer a platform for mutual exchange and networking. Within the framework of their programs, the desire arose to connect network experienced managers with young professionals – across company boundaries. For the required cross-company mentoring program a protected space was needed in which mentor and mentee could talk confidently about relevant topics such as leadership methodologies, self-efficacy and resilience.

our solution

Digital leadership mentoring for women
Our actions:
Use of our tried and tested Women Leadership Track – a combination of nine live mentoring modules
Expansion to include a special module on resilience
Access to our FAQ chatbot and our personalized service desk
Anonymized reporting on all mentoring activity data
Scaling of the measures according to the corporate partner’s requirements
Nine companies, e.g. Payback and Zeppelin, are currently participating in the cross-company mentoring program of Employers for Equality. The mutual exchange across company boundaries allows a change in perspective for the participants: Mentors can reflect on their behavior as managers, and junior staff are getting prepared for management positions. Anonymized reports enable an evaluation of the cross-company mentoring.

Volunteering
"In addition to a really excellent, customer-orientated and fast service, especially the matching is enthusiastically received among our mentors and mentees: 100% satisfaction! We also appreciate the structure that the tool offers. It helps to build the mentoring relationship in a sustainable way and to really stick to appointments - not a matter of course in times where we jump from one virtual appointment to the next. Absolute recommendation!"

Managing Director & Co-Founder of Employers for Equality
